Student Learning Survey 2020/2021

Help us plan for the future – tell us about your education experience.  Students in Grades 4, 7, 10 and 12, their parents and all staff in B.C. public schools are invited to participate in the 2020/2021 Student Learning Survey, an annual online satisfaction survey about their school experience.  This year’s survey is open from January 15, 2021 to April 30, 2021.

The survey covers a range of topics, providing a comprehensive picture of the educational experience in B.C. public schools. Questions were developed with input from partner groups, teachers and experts in educational measurement and special education.  If a school district or school has added questions, it may take longer.  The survey takes about 30 minutes to complete.

All responses are anonymous and confidential.  Student and staff surveys are available in English and French. Parent surveys are available in 16 additional languages.

For more information, visit the Ministry of Education’s website at 2020/2021 Student Learning Survey or contact your School Principal.

CMSD82 Safe Return to School Plans – 2020-2021 School Year

We share our updated District and School Plans related to Coast Mountains School District’s restart plan for the 2020-2021 school year, as provided below which reflect the updated Public Health Guidance documents for K-12 School Settings.

We were provided the parameters for Stage 2 from the Ministry of Education and the Provincial Health Officer.  The guidelines were developed based on the four principles.  The #1 principle is Healthy & Safety.  As you make your way through our plans, my hope is that they offer you reassurance related to your child’s safety and as they re-enter schools within Coast Mountains School District.

Our goal in the creation of these plans is to design safe environments that will provide families the reassurance that will allow them to send children back to school safely.  Please feel free to reach out to school administrators about school plans with any questions that you may have.

If you have any questions relating to the District Re-Start Plans, please email covid@cmsd.bc.ca.

Sincerely,

Janet Meyer
Superintendent of Schools
